Who you are: We?re seeking a seasoned product management and marketing pro who has the technical experience and leadership chops to help inject a new level of innovation into our lead generation solutions. In addition to solidifying our lead gen product portfolio, you?ll run with the full set of product marketing and launch activities that go along with bringing exciting products to market at a fast-paced startup.
Responsibilities What will I do?
Work closely with marketing, sales and dev to understand what lead gen capabilities IT vendors want most, what?s most engaging for IT pros, and what?s technically feasible
Analyze and conceptualize a whole new set of lead generation and monetization opportunities.
Craft a vision for compelling products, validating and spreading that vision inside and outside of Spiceworks
Work closely with dev to bring products to life and help make them awesome
Establish core messaging and positioning of Spiceworks? lead gen offerings
Work with marcom, PR and demand gen to evangelize/sell products and drive qualified interest in them to Spiceworks
Stay aggressively on top of the competitive/industry landscape and keep sales, dev and exec teams in the loop
Drive regular interaction with sales and customers to fine tune messaging, pricing and packaging and keep product plans in line with the changing needs of the IT vendor market.
Requirements: What does it take to do this job?
5 years? experience with a mix of both product management and marketing
Demonstrated experience building new products and bringing them to market ? experience with lead generation and/or performance based advertising solutions highly preferred
A high quotient for creativity that?ll drive you toward developing truly innovative and diverse advertising capabilities that customers will value like crazy
Product management and marketing experience with lead generation products and services geared towards b2b marketers
Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in monetizing social media and software platforms
Proven ability to work successfully with management, internal teams and customers to make great results happen
Proven ability to inspire confidence and collaboration with sales, dev and exec teams
Bachelors degree in marketing or similar field required; MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
