Reporting to the Director Product Management/Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for Stratus products and solutions. Responsibilities include developing the messaging and positioning for products as well as conceiving and developing marketing value propositions that are used in marketing programs to drive demand. Creative ability combined with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial to the position.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Stratus? products in the market and against competitive solutions.
Build sales enablement tools and communicate the value proposition of products and solution benefits to the sales team. Develop sales tools that support the selling process of Stratus products and solutions.
Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Monitor the market and deliver market intelligence to the organization. Be the expert on buyers and create buyer personas to effectively influence at the appropriate sales stage. Be the expert on our competition including in-depth understanding of strengths and weaknesses.
Develop strategies to support the marketing team in managing programs that drive product demand.
Work closely with product panagement teams on crafting go-to-market messaging and strategy for targeted vertical markets.
Create content and collateral in various forms including whitepapers, case studies, product briefs, presentations, etc., that speak to the technical buyer, economic buyer and functional buyer.
BS/BA in business or marketing with 5+ years of product marketing experience within a technology company.
Very strong written and presentation communication skills.
Excellent people skills to facilitate interactions with colleagues and cross-functional teams, executive management, partners and customers.
Understanding and experience in the server market and knowledge of key industry technologies, such as virtualization and cloud computing is highly desirable.
Experience with methodologies such as Pragmatic Marketing also desirable.
Experience developing content for a world-wide audience and working within a global organization is desirable.
