Product Marketing Manager Violin Memory
Violin Memory is leading the transformation of the enterprise data storage market with flash Memory Arrays. As the Product Marketing Manager for Violin Memory you will be responsible for delivering content that generates awareness and adoption of the Violin product line. We are looking for a person who can create clear and concise messages that translate technical concepts into easily understood business value with compelling language. You will need the ability to deliver these messages through multiple communication channels and media, both on and offline. You will need to address the needs of a target audience of Fortune 2000 buyers of enterprise infrastructure.
This role is critical in driving the continued growth of the company as we help to transform the storage market with a new approach that balances the data center by putting storage on a Moore?s Law curve. The successful candidate will demonstrate the flexibility and creativity to thrive in a startup environment where the landscape changes rapidly and a breadth of skills are required. You will need to support a sales process that includes reseller channels and a direct sales force.
Create and/or manage the production of collateral to highlight the benefits of Violin Memory solutions both horizontally for general customer education, as well as within particular market segments (e.g. database, virtualization, and analytics). Examples include solutions briefs, case studies, white papers, customer presentations, videos, blogs, and webcasts.
Develop and implement marketing programs and campaigns to achieve revenue and market share goals
Ensure rich customer and partner facing content on the web and through other channels
Drive awareness and adoption in the Fortune 2000 enterprise storage market.
Assist in developing messaging and product positioning of Violin products to sales teams, channel, OEM partners, and enterprise customers.
Verify and document solutions with OEMs and customers
Work with partners to promote joint solutions
Strong writing and presentation skills
5-10 years of high tech marketing; knowledge and experience in enterprise infrastructure
Technical depth and experience with storage, particularly solid state storage technologies
Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to create collateral, presentations and social media (blogs, etc.) that are clearly written and succinct.
Fundamental marketing skills including understanding how to develop positioning and messaging
Develop and implement marketing programs for demand generation
Marketplace knowledge of key industry players and data storage competitors as well as their offerings
Aptitude for working in a fast paced startup environment with limited resources
Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus
