Product Marketing Manager (North America) Metaswitch Networks
The Product Marketing Manager will play an active role in the sales team throughout the sales process and the ongoing customer relationship. They will introduce Perimeta technology to prospective customers, design customer solutions and articulate technical and business advantages.
As a member of the SBC Product Area team, the Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for producing customer facing documents including technical and project proposals.
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for updating the Perimeta product key messaging, articulating that messaging to the market, including targeted messaging towards specific customer segments, and preparing marketing campaigns. They will also be one of the primary voices of the customer within the company, reporting back on the wants, needs and desires of the market to influence and inform future product strategy.
The Product Marketing Manager will work directly with sales directors in customer meetings and other customer facing activities and will have frequent interactions with the customer support teams for trials and deployments, as well as with engineering and product teams to meet new customer requirements and to influence product directions.
The role requires in-depth SBC technical experience and the ability to stay abreast of evolving technologies.
Personal capabilities for customer interactions, both in listening and presentation skills are essential.
This is a senior level position that can require significant travel.
The successful candidate will have come from an Engineering and PLM background and be very comfortable in customer facing roles. Key experience includes having been heavily involved in architecting and designing custom solutions.
Four-year degree in a related technical field, ideally Computer Science or Information Technology.
Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in systems engineering, PLM, systems architecture, pre-sales technical marketing, pre-sales technical sales or other customer-centric systems level experience.
Excellent oral presentation skills with proven presentation and excellent writing skills.
Technical skills must be in the areas of Telecom architecture, IP networking including SIP and H.323 routing.
Requires a minimum of 50% travel and either a functional home-based office or to be based near one of our US offices.

Recruitment at Metaswitch is designed to be thorough and tough, yet informative and friendly. Initially, you will be asked to take part in a short telephone interview. You will then normally be asked to come for two visits.
The first will be an interview at either our San Francisco or Dallas office where you will meet with team members and senior management.
