Product Marketing Manager
OpenX?s new Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the research, strategy and execution around OpenX product marketing for our suite of Publisher technology offerings. He or she will share ownership of researching and establishing market requirements to ensure that our product team is delivering impactful products that create strong market demand. He or she will develop concise, effective positioning and messaging to ensure that publishers are interested in leveraging our holistic products. Working closely with our Sales team, this person will be responsible for the creation of high-quality marketing enablement and communications, ensuring that products and features are brought to market in an effective, efficient manner. He or she will ensure that product marketing strategies and go-to-market plans are executed on schedule and with high visibility.
The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of marketing success within an ad technology organization. He or she will be expert in translating technical features into benefits, and will have a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, and of key publishers, technologies, and marketing strategies.
The Product Marketing Manager will report to OpenX?s Director of Product Marketing and work closely with OpenX employees within the company?s sales, product, and client services teams.
Formulate and execute market requirement documents, product positioning, messaging, and assist with go-to-market plans for leading OpenX publisher products (Ad Server, Ad Exchange, SSP, Mobile).
Be the day-to-day manager for OpenX?s product marketing for its suite of products and features.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations to translate product capabilities into accurate features and benefits messaging
Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to translate product capabilities into effective solution stories and sales enablement
Work with our client services team to capture customer successes for use in case studies and other marketing materials
Hands-on content creation including authoring of PowerPoint presentations, whitepapers, blogs and data sheets
Manage cross-functional implementations to execute, measure and refine go-to-market strategies including messaging, training, sales enablement and product/feature launches
Be an evangelist for OpenX products both internally and externally
Represent the company at customer briefings, partner meetings and industry events
Knowledge and Skills:
BA/BS (preferably in business, economics or a related field); MBA preferred.
5 - 7 years total experience in product marketing within the digital marketing technology industry,
Experience marketing enterprise software is required; understanding of publisher business strategies is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to develop product positioning and messaging
Proven track record in developing highly effective sales presentations and collateral
Prior experience in product marketing for a technology and/or digital media company strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of B2B marketing, software-as-a-service, and the digital advertising ecosystem is a significant plus
Demonstrated success in working within cross functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision-making skills
Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives
Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills
