Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will partner with the VP of Marketing to execute PlayNetwork?s product marketing strategy. The Product Marketing Manager will craft the messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategy to drive incremental revenue.
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with innovation, sales and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Marketing Manager is also responsible for research and research management, including market validation, compete, client and technology research.
Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. In your role as a Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following is a list of evolving job responsibilities for the Product Marketing Manager position.
?Collaborate with Innovation to define the product marketing strategy and roadmap.
?Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
?Sales enablement ? communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products.
?Product launch ? plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
?Market intelligence ? be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition.
?Demand generation ? develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
?Manage and leverage market research initiatives with strategic partners.
?Internal communication and project management for all products and timelines.
?Operational assessment and integration to support products prior to launch.
?Collaboration on business and financial modeling.
?Research and enhancement of existing products.
?Tech Dec communication and integration (old products into new).
?End of Life analysis and discontinuation of products/services.
Experience/Education
?5+ years of software product marketing experience
?Bachelor?s in business or marketing
?Very strong written communication skills
?Willing to travel 25%
?Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
?Proven ability to think strategically and execute marketing campaigns with excellence.
?Extensive writing experience.
?Excellent verbal and written communications skills
?Ability to collaborate with management peers inside and outside marketing
?Has a strong sense of the external environment and the competitive landscape
?Experience with SalesForce and Marketo is ideal.
Required Skills and Abilities
?Experience across traditional branding channels (on and offline) with a passion for digital media
?Attention to detail is critical. A strong program manager/project manager comfortable with multi-tasking will be successful in this role.
?Strong track record of building high performance teams through strong hiring practices and dedication to performance management, training and retention initiatives; the ability to lead, mentor and empower teams.
?Solid understanding of advertising sales and/or media planning/buying
?Demonstrated ability to integrate creative and strategic planning into cohesive communications planning that builds brands, drives traffic, gets results, and has a ?wow? factor
?Entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for building business, and the ability to work across a matrix environment
?Dynamic, Innovative marketer with strong analytical skills, business acumen and industry presence
?Excellent oral and written presentation/persuasion and negotiation skills
?Background in design, communications and brand strategy.
