You'll be responsible for shaping HubSpot's reference marketing strategy. Here are some of the things you'll do:
Build a really impressive library of case studies
Showcase HubSpot as a product leader, according to its customers
Evolve the competitive customer reference program
Evangelize new features through product videos
Experiment with new, better, more scalable ways to do all of the above
To be successful in this job, you need to:
Be an innovator. The way people buy and learn is changing. That means you need to take a fresh approach to everything and look for ways to embrace new technologies.
Know how to help sales reps. They're short on time, need to make a quota and have all different types of sales styles. It's important to make clear, concise and flexible sales tools.
Get to the point. Much of your job will be creating content for busy people, so you need to understand what's important to them and give them information in a really efficient way.
Be able to market your own work. Nobody's going to use the content you create just because you created it. You have to get the word out and show reps how and WHY to use sales tools you make.
Think analytically. When publish something, you need to instinctively ask, “how do I know if this is successful?†“How do I measure it?†(and course correct if it's not).
Embrace change. Things are constantly changing at HubSpot. You need to be open to that and be comfortable with ambiguity.
