As a Product Marketing Manager at Smaato you are a member of the global marketing department and responsible for driving the overall product messaging, positioning, and vision of Smaato products and services as well as bringing them to the marketplace and to the sales organization. You provide product line support for program strategy, operational readiness and on-going sales support. Your main job is demonstrating how Smaato's products and services solve app developers global monetization challenges, converting technical positioning into convincing key market messages and launching products and services successfully to the market and customers. The ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into ?crisp and clear? customer benefits is crucial for this position and a key requirement. Strong communication and writing skills are a must. This position requires close interaction with Product Management, Marketing Communications and Sales. You will work in San Francisco, CA and report directly to the SVP Marketing.
Define buyer personas and develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Smaato products and services in the market
Sales Enablement ? communicate the value proposition of Smaato products to the global sales teams and develop sales tools that support the selling process efficiently.
Establish close relationships with important customers and be able to evangelize how Smaato products have been successful in different customer scenarios. Identify product references for industry and customer referrals.
Product launch ? plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the product launch plan
Market intelligence ? be the expert on Smaato customers, how they buy and their buying and decision criteria; be the expert on the competitors in the market and to sell against them.
Demand generation support ? Identify best opportunities for lead generation and support the local Customer Acquisition Manager in developing successful lead generation strategies and in managing the marketing programs that drive ongoing demand for Smaato Products. Create marketing plans including methods for customer acquisition as well as customer retention
Deliver thought-leading product related content for website, blog, collateral, events and PR activities.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
3+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the mobile advertising or ad serving sector
Works equally well with product management, marketing communications, sales, sales operations, support, and engineering to drive successful product releases
Demonstrates strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate those skills into creative, marketable messaging and content
Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to translate technology features into business benefits
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and interact with all levels and functional groups within the company. A desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-national environment
Ability to prioritize, self-start and contribute under pressure and tight deadlines
BA/MBA or relevant advanced degree
