As Product Marketing Manager, you will make it easy for developers and technical decision-makers to understand what we uniquely provide, and motivate them to take action. In this important role, you will manage external product messaging and collateral available via our corporate website and a full library of sales and partner enablement materials. This position works closely with sales, engineering, evangelism, design and the rest of the marketing team. You will need to quickly become an expert on our products, the market, our key customers, and competition through your own research as well as harvesting internal expertise, and be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our products to the marketplace.
Develop product positioning that clearly differentiates the company and its product lines in the marketplace
Create high-impact internal and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of our products
Develop vertical-specific content and materials to better reach target industries and partner-specific materials to support our key channel partners
Develop website content to drive sales through clear, high-impact company and product information
Develop and manage product collateral including datasheets, whitepapers, and case studies
Develop and manage sales tools including sales presentations, ROI calculators, email communications.
Establish and maintain a marketing relationship with key customers who are willing to be references for case studies and speaking events
Develop and manage customer marketing/reference materials including case studies, customer videos, and customer profiles
Coordinate closely with marketing, engineering, sales, design, and the web team
Assist with sales training on product positioning ? ensure all sales members can internalize and clearly communicate our product positioning and message
What you should bring to this role:
5 or more years of software product marketing experience, preferably with developer tools
Experience developing high-impact sales materials for a successful enterprise software company
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key customers, prospects and business partners, sales, and other internal teams
Experience in developing effective and creative product marketing collateral, such as web content, data sheets, and white papers
A great eye for design, and the ability to manage internal and agency design projects.
BA or BS degree and/or equivalent experience required
