Product Marketing Manager Skybox Security
Skybox Security, Inc. is looking for a talented Product Marketing Manager who will be a key product specialist for our portfolio of enterprise cyber security solutions. This position is perfect for an experienced enterprise IT product marketer who is looking for a fast-paced opportunity with a growth-stage security company. The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator, with an ability to understand highly technical products and use cases and create effective materials such as product collateral, sales tools, demos, training materials, and presentations for both technical and business audiences.
The Product Marketing Manager will support go-to-market planning for new and existing products, product collateral and communications, competitive evaluations, pricing, RFP responses, sales and partner training, demand generation, and PR/analyst relations.
This position reports to the VP of Worldwide Marketing, and is located at the Skybox Security headquarters office in San Jose, CA.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with R&D to gather product feature and use case information, and create product content such as datasheets, web copy, technical briefs, whitepapers, release notes, case studies, customer and partner communications
Develop sales enablement tools such as product training, sales training kits, customer presentation materials
Create effective product demos for customer meetings, videos, tradeshows, analyst briefings,
Support the sales team with timely and effective responses to urgent sales needs, such as customer references, details of upcoming product releases, define joint-value propositions with other solutions, competitive comparisons, RFP responses
Perform competitive analysis and develop competitive product positioning tools for the sales team
Provide product support, demos, and presentation materials for press and analyst activities
Be a focal point for knowledge on customer needs, use cases, buying behaviors, and purchase criteria
Author thought-leadership content such as blog posts, whitepapers, articles, and presentations to build awareness of the company and our solutions.
Develop product launch plans and marketing campaigns to expand awareness or develop demand for new or existing products, or introduce products into new markets
Manage marketing launch plans for major and minor product releases
5+ years experience in B2B marketing of software products to IT buyers
Strong preference for candidates with at least 3+ years experience marketing enterprise IT security products
Strong technical interests and aptitude, and ability to communicate well with IT security and network engineers
Excellent communication skills; must be able to write high-quality product materials, develop effective presentation content, and deliver engaging presentations
Exceptional knowledge of marketing, sales, and product development processes.
Strong project and product management skills
Experienced in developing sales training materials and demos
Ability to gather and analyze customer and market research information through surveys, customer interviews and analyst reports
Excellent presentation skills; must be able to craft and deliver engaging technical product demos and sales training presentations
Must be able to develop strong relationships and communicate effectively with senior staff
Experience working in successful fast-growing companies
Ability to travel 20% to support industry events and sales and partner activities
Bachelor?s degree required
BS Computer Science or Engineering preferred
