Product Marketing Manager firstRain
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED FirstRain is looking for a Product Marketing Manager. You will lead Product Marketing and take ownership for the messaging and positioning, competitive intelligence and sales enablement marketing activities for FirstRain solutions. This individual must have strong product sensibility, a mastery of marketing fundamentals and an understanding of the B2B Enterprise software market. Responsibilities will include product positioning, competitive intelligence, marketing campaign development and tracking product and business metrics. The position is based in San Mateo, CA and will work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, public relations, user experience and design, and business development.
Drive product marketing and be the key liaison to manage these campaigns, working with PR, product management, online and content marketing teams.
Partner with product management to design and develop well-segmented and sequenced product launch and go-to-market strategies
Develop a deep understanding of FirstRain current products and its future product roadmap.
Cultivate product value proposition for multiple vertical audiences, driving segmented product marketing
Work with the marketing team to design strong product marketing infrastructure including landing pages, interactive content, social engagement, user guides, brochures etc.
Create innovative and high impact campaigns that drive user adoption and virality
Work alongside Customer Success team to drive user and customer growth across industry and regional verticals.
Understand market dynamics and user reaction to our products with a view to informing product roadmap and communications
Competitive Analysis. Perform continual assessment of competitive landscape, develop and refine competitive positioning
Go-To-Market. Craft detailed launch plans including messaging, pitch, packaging, pricing. Collaborate with corporate marketing on launching to press, analysts, customers, prospects
Sales Empowerment. Conduct continual training of sales team with help of a variety of sales tools: PPT pitches, product fact sheets, cases studies
Thought Leadership. Drive continued thought leadership as a FirstRain advocate with pitches and messaging for tradeshow speaking and sponsorship, blog posts, webinars
Lead Generation. Collaborate with corporate marketing on identifying the best programs for lead gen and lead nurturing
Analyze campaign effectiveness and ROI through analytics tools.
Develop strong relationships with industry partners, leveraging co-marketing initiatives and product partnerships
5+ years of experience in B2B Product Marketing or similar role
Strong analytical skills and passion for interpreting and translating quantitative and qualitative data into customer insights
Excellent organizational, presentation, and writing skills, and the ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization
Ability to convert complex ideas and quantitative data into simple messages
Ability to understand and interpret a complex competitive landscape and effectively prioritize the projects that will deliver the greatest impact on objectives
Proven ability to participate in and influence cross-functional teams
Ability to solicit and synthesize customer and market feedback for actionable recommendations on positioning, messaging, and product development
Experience analyzing product, customer, market dynamics and opportunities
Creative flair to bring fresh ideas into product positioning and marketing campaigns
Proven track record of prioritizing and delivering results within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
Ability to drive communication processes and work effectively across global cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
