Product Marketing Manager Cornerstone OnDemand
Cornerstone OnDemand is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Product Marketing Manager to join the global marketing team. The PMM will help build and execute key value propositions and differentiators; conduct market, customer, and competitive research; define vertical market messaging; manage the product Go-to-Market processes and work closely with sales, account management and client success to develop compelling sales tools, product stories and oversee related marketing efforts and activities. The PMM must have experience in enterprise software or B2B technology marketing.
The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud technology platforms or the talent management/human capital management market. This Product Marketing Manager will oversee all marketing initiatives for the applications in the Cornerstone portfolio across all segments & verticals.
ROLE PRIORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take entrepreneurial control over products/application within the Cornerstone OnDemand portfolio. Complete ownership of the product/application?s messaging, content, strategy, etc.
Help define and drive the product definition process, including positioning and key product messaging.
Analyze competitive landscape and keep sales and management team apprised of key developments. Also, track P&L, key wins & losses by quarter for specific product/application.
Work with Demand Generation on the development and strategy for product launch activities, product content and integrated outbound marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on events including partner events and Cornerstone?s very own end-user conference series ?Convergence?.
Assist with Sales Enablement activities in educating internal and external audiences regarding new product and feature introductions.
Work closely with Product Management to orchestrate a cohesive Go-to-Market process and execution.
Tailor high-level marketing content, create compelling and differentiating content.
Deliver presentations, webinars, Q&A, and conduct client research in an articulated and authentic format.
Become the product champion/SME within Cornerstone OnDemand and to external constituencies.
KEY DELIVERABLES INCLUDE:
Develop documents including key roles, challenges/hot buttons, applications of our services to solve pain points, benefits and differentiators.
Develop and manage the Go-to-Market project plan and ensure smooth transitions from launch through sustaining and EOL for all new products.
?Key messages? document for use in all related demand generation and marketing communications activities.
Develop thought leadership pieces, videos, including case studies, white papers and other tools and content (writing).
Analysis of competitive landscape to include overview of competitor strengths, weaknesses, positioning against Cornerstone OnDemand, and leading questions for Sales to unhook them.
EDUCATION: BS/BA required in the fields of Business, Marketing or related area. MBA is a major plus.
EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years strategic, product, enterprise software or B2B technology.
Writing skills are critical REQUIRED. This role creates content in the form of datasheets, product briefs, blog posts, Power Point presentations, video scripts, whitepapers, etc.
Ability to 100% own initiatives. A motivated self-starter who can operate and execute with a sense of urgency, discipline and focus.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with a cross-functional team consisting of Sales, Product Management, Client Success and Marketing
Proven experience growing technology product revenues year over year a big plus!
