GreatCall markets products, services and applications that help people using mobile devices to stay connected, safe and healthy. We work with partners to create solutions that fulfill these needs, and ensure our products are easy-to-use and backed by high quality customer service. We take these services to market through a variety of channels. These channels include traditional channels in our core ?connectivity? business, with its flagship product, the Jitterbug cell phone, as well as new channels on non-GreatCall handsets through partnerships with carriers, apps stores, and healthcare companies.
About the Team
The Marketing team is responsible for the strategy and execution of all traditional and non-traditional customer facing communications programs to support the growth of the GreatCall brand and its products and services, as well as critical communications to customer-facing retail partners. This includes, but is not limited to: direct response media (television, print, radio, and direct mail), collateral materials, interactive, product marketing, retail point-of-purchase, public relations support, trade marketing, and general branding initiatives.
About the Job
This role?s primary responsibility is to focus on New Initiatives ? new products, new services and the corresponding deliverables to bring these offerings to market. This focus includes helping develop and launch new products, services and even sales channels that continue to position GreatCall, and their family of products, at the forefront of innovation and simplicity. This role is very involved with the Product Development team, planning for each product and service on the overall company roadmap, as well as working with internal and external partners to get all related materials created, including packaging, manuals, training materials and more. The Product Marketing Manager is a marketer first, and a product developer second ? representing the marketing department within cross-functional teams to effectively bring our services to market on-time, and on budget. This role helps our company build new offerings based on new and existing ideas utilizing consumer research, industry experience, market understanding, and creativity. This person provides Marketing Communications, Customer Care, Training, and Sales with a strong understanding of the initiative?s concept, positioning, target consumers, and key benefits.
Implement product and service requirements across multiple launch phases and channels.
Ensure current products and services are all marketed effectively, working properly and if not, work with cross-functional team on improvements.
Drive cross-functional teamwork across Billing Operations, Business Development, Customer Care, Engineering, Finance, IT, Sales, Supply Chain, Training and other functions to ensure product launch and in-market success.
Lead development of market and competitive understanding for current and future products, including analysis of category trends/opportunities and competitor insights, positioning, and business performance.
Work with entire marketing team to ensure all services are launched and communicated effectively.
Be the product expert for the Marketing team, providing in-depth product knowledge for take to market planning and execution.
Partner on intra-functional work with Marketing Communications and Analytics.
Work from the strategic direction of the executive team, ensuring that products and services are launched to meet the long-term goals of the company.
Partner with training and Marcomm teams on all new products to ensure materials accurately reflect features, benefits and branding.
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Management or related business field
7+ years experience in marketing, product marketing or related experience
5+ years experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
2+ years experience in wireless telecommunications, high technology industries or consumer products/services is required
Familiarity with the technical aspects of product marketing ? able to work flawlessly with engineers, software developers and other technical functions
Understanding of business constraints and budget management, and the ability to launch products within established parameters
Must be well-organized and accustomed to managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
High level of communication ? can quickly work requirements and requests through cross-functional teams
Experience with consumer packaging, including in-box materials, user manuals, etc
Experience with writing marketing documents that can be technical in nature
