QualificationsThis position requires a smart, energetic, technical, self-directing, creative, hard working, very well organized, and flexible individual. We offer an exciting opportunity at a growing technology company targeting consumer product and telephony manufacturers with a line of cutting edge speech chips and technologies. We are the leader in a growing market for voice user interfaces in consumer electronics. An ideal candidate will combine a strong technical background along with experience in product marketing of wireless, consumer or microcontroller ICs. Must be comfortable with broad set of duties/responsibilities.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Product Planning & Management - Manage Sensory product releases (ICs, Software, and Tools) and help drive the development of new products, features, and technologies.
Documentation and Collateral - Responsible for look, feel, accuracy, standardization, and control of all Sensory documents going out to customers. Manage contract technical editors.
Market/Customer Research - Collect customer information and feedback, analyze data, and conduct research to better understand and explore new market opportunities.
Sales Tools - Create and maintain tools to help sales efforts (lit, demos, mktg. programs, etc.)
Internet/Web Marketing - Attract customers through the Internet
Concept Marketing - Invent new applications for Sensorys technology, and sell the concepts.
MARCOM & Rep Marketing - Insure press coverage in target markets, assist in tradeshows, lead communications with international rep network.
Strategic Planning - Assist the management team in charting Sensory's business, market, and product stategies.
Requirements and Preferences
2 years experience as a Marketing Manager, preferably with consumer ICs or telecom ICs.
Strong technical and market knowledge of as many of the following markets as possible: wireless handsets, PDAs, toys, hands free speakerphones, VOIP and SOHO phones, consumer electronics and home appliances.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BSEE and/or MBA. Top School Preferred.
