The Product Marketing Officer will bring thought leadership and focus to a fast growing, mission driven consumer payments company. Your primary responsibility will be to establish, execute and manage a comprehensive product management / product-marketing strategy that drives increased market awareness, customer adoption and customer LTV. You will conceive and develop innovative product and service offerings along with marketing programs that attract new customers and extend existing customer relationships. Success is measured by the team?s ability to deliver a powerful user experience that maximizes both simplicity and relevance for the self-banked consumer. This position will be based in Austin Texas and reports directly to the President of Netspend.
To achieve success in this position, the Product Marketing Officer will be responsible for:
Line management for the Product Management, UX/Design & Creative, Customer Experience and Card Brand management (Visa/MasterCard/Pulse) teams
Effective collaboration with Channel marketing teams (acquisition marketing) to support the delivery of revenue and profit targets
Developing and executing growth initiative with card/network brands ? Visa, MasterCard, Pulse
Managing key x-functional stakeholder relationships with technology, operations and service delivery teams
Working with Finance to track, report and deliver on key success metrics
Align product and marketing initiatives with Company?s overall growth strategy
Develop product and marketing plans/roadmaps for all key initiatives
Integrate Customer and Partner Experience into product and marketing methodologies
Partner with Card Networks to build sustainable growth initiatives ? leverage joint marketing assets/campaigns, collaborate on product initiatives, manage brand agreements
Collaborate with x-functional teams to build and optimize customer lifecycle experience and maximizing customer retention and LTV.
Drive collaboration in cross-company marketing initiatives including branding, social media, PR, consumer research, etc.
Drive partnership and collaboration with internal teams and leaders across Channels, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Legal/Compliance.
Develop improved marketing, product, customer and partner analytics
Provide regular updates on business strategy and performance to executive team including CEO, President, and CFO.
10+ years of product management and/or marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
Significant experience marketing consumer facing products, preferably with a focus on relationship marketing
Financial services experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience managing a direct P&L.
Proven track record of driving growth in customer base and business result
Very strong analytical capabilities. Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics to drive business performance.
Excellent communications skills ? both oral and written. Track record of working with executive management.
Proven success in leading and managing product and/or marketing organizations.
Highly motivated, positive attitude, and passionate about building consumer businesses.
Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s in Business Administration in Marketing, Communications or related degree or applicable experience preferred.
