The Product Owner for Analytics and Social Intelligence will develop the product strategy and lead all phases and dimensions of the product management process for our Lithium Social Intelligence product line. You will also help define, deliver, and influence the ways in which web and mobile products can be radically enhanced through data-driven, engaging, and alluring online experiences. In this position, you will play a key role on the team improving and extending the Lithium big data analytics platform and our existing social intelligence solution to bring even more compelling and elegant reports, insights, and end user experiences to Lithium customers around the globe. As the product owner, you'll be responsible for researching, defining, justifying, and executing on the product strategy. You?ll engage with just about every aspect of Lithium?s business ? engineering, marketing, business development, partners, services, technical operations, sales, etc, although your primary responsibility will be participating on an agile scrum team developing and prioritizing innovative user stories based on the needs of our customers and the demands of the market. One of the most important aspects of the job is to develop and drive priorities for our feature development based on business value to the marketplace and revenue for Lithium. You will spend at least 75% of your time with the scrum team collaborating with the scrum master to lead the team building products we are seriously and intensely proud of.
You'll play both an external role in understanding the market and working with customers and partners, and an internal role of day-to-day tactical delivery of the product. Critical to this role is your ability to learn fast about our platform and the applications built on it, along with the factors that drive our priorities, revenue, and customer success.
Take ownership of the Lithium Social Intelligence (LSI) product vision
Develop the LSI product strategy and roadmap
Be a thought leader for analytics and social intelligence in our company, among our customers, and in the marketplace in general
Manage the LSI product backlog (including bug triaging, feature requests, and enhancements), working with stakeholders to lead product feature discovery and prioritization, and to align the team?s backlog to the longer term road map
Work with LSI architects and engineers to develop the long term technical strategy
Work directly with our Ph.D. scientists in gamification and analytics to define requirements and future product state
Write, manage, and impart detailed LSI product stories that communicate product vision and functional requirements to your scrum team
Develop LSI product release plans with your scrum team and keep product roadmap commitments on schedule
Contribute to LSI documentation for release notes, training manuals, and other departmental administration
Plan and lead cross-functional product launches to excite, educate and drive revenue for new product releases
Collaborate with product marketing to produce product-specific content, such as feature lists, demos, training and sales tools
Collect product feedback from sales, customers, executives and other stakeholders
Conduct market research and analyses including industry research, competitor analyses, market segmentation, customer surveys, user forums, beta programs and focus groups
Contribute to cost/benefit and ROI analyses for product planning with other product owners and management stakeholders
Perform demonstrations of the product for customers, sales staff, partners, and internal team members
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
MA or higher, preferably in a design and/or technical discipline or with extensive exposure to technical curricula. Successful candidates are likely to have a degree in business, user experience design, computer science, data sciences, or related discipline
Minimum 6 years of software product management experience and ten years of total work experience
At least three years of experience working with social media, for example social media management systems, social marketing programs, online communities, and/or social support
Minimum 3 years of business intelligence, web analytics, predictive analytics, data visualization or other relevant experience, in a product management or technical role
Experience with agile software development methodologies
Previous product management experience for SaaS applications a plus
Experience with product launches and coordination of product marketing activities or PR/Communications experience
Ability to lead diverse teams toward a common goal
Entrepreneurial, with excellent ability to help define and understand what drives the need for analytics and reporting, as well as an understanding of how thriving online communities work
Proven ability to partner with developers to deliver releases to the market in a timely, agile manner; team player with track record of building strong, cross functional working relationships and focused on team performance, rather than individual success
Technical aptitude and experience with modern web application design, architecture, and implementation
Passion for the customer and exceptional user experience
