Job Description:Soraa, the world leading developer for GaN on GaN solid state lighting technology, is seeking a highly self-motivated Product Qualification/Reliability Engineer who is intelligent, passionate, and committed to delivering high-quality products.
The Product Qualification/Reliability Engineer will be a dynamic, highly focused individual contributor who will take on the product qualification, reliability testing and data analysis for our state-of-the-art LED Products. In this position, you will need to create, execute, and document reliability test plans and results. Physics-of-failure concepts and practices, knowledge-based reliability testing and data analysis techniques will be utilized in your daily activities.
Principal responsibilities:
? Designing, executing, and documenting product qualification/reliability tests.
? Conducting testing to qualify materials and processes.
? Conducting online reliability monitoring tests.
? Conducting long term life testing for LED lamps.
? Conducting statistical data analysis and reliability for testing results (e.g. JMP, Weibull ++).
? Working with external third party labs for critical testing projects.
? Participation in failure analysis and process improvement activities.
Experience and Skills:
Required skills and experience:
? Familiarity with project management and scheduling tools.
? Familiarity with accelerated stress testing methods and data analysis techniques.
? Possess materials knowledge including solder, epoxy, polymer, etc.
? Familiarity with industry test standards and methods, including thermal cycling, power cycling and temperature & humidity, life testing, mechanical impact testing, etc.
? Authorship of reliability test plans and reports.
? Hands-on experience in test set-ups.
? Automated test and data acquisition experience (e.g. using Labview).
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
It is preferred that the candidate will have an engineering graduate degree with experience in product qualification and accelerated stress testing for electronics components and systems. Junior engineers with high energy and integrity will be considered.
