Product Reliability & Test Engineer



Job Description:

The primary scope of this job is to perform design reliability verification, reliability modeling, product reliability stresses (Life test, system stress), and data analysis for qualification purposes. Other responsibilities are performing in-process quality control. Also working with other functional teams such as Design, Product Development, and R&D Engineering in order to ensure high quality panels are manufactured.



Job Requirements:

You should have a good understanding of reliability statistics, reliability tests, and solid understanding of electrical systems to influence design for reliability.

Define test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability.
Perform Reliability prediction of failure mechanisms, products under development and products in the field.
Maintaining adequate records for technical file and quarterly factory audits
Generate and manage qualification plans for new products, components and suppliers
Evaluate test results and tested products
Implement and maintain a product reliability program
Determine product reliability for products
Evaluate product warranty interval vs. reliability
Design and develop tests and test equipment
Provide product testing support to customers
Identify and validate product risks and work with design teams to mitigate them



Job Qualifications:

You should possess a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
3+ years directly related work in a field such as PV, semiconductor, or electronics systems design and testing
Extensive failure analysis, problem solving, analytical, and leadership skills sets
Knowledge of FMEA execution and data interpretation
Experience with statistical analysis packages (e.g. JMP or Minitab)
Application and usage of critical engineering principals (statics, dynamics, material mechanics, engineering economics, thermodynamics, design of experiments, statistics, etc.)
