Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing technical leadership and strategic support for Peregrine?s High Performance Solutions, HPS, product line. The Product Specialist Engineer will work with the product development teams, field teams and key customers to develop industry leading new products as well as support existing products. This role is critical to ensure Peregrine?s new and existing products are successfully launched and supported into the market.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Serve as technical leader of Peregrine?s communication products in general RF communication systems.
Interface with field teams and key customers to support all design activities using Peregrine products.
Performing advanced measurements in an RF laboratory at a component level.
Develop product specifications/requirements of new and existing products, application notes, and technical literature based on system knowledge and industry standards.
Develop Evaluation board/kit, reference designs, and associated documentation.
Providing technical training to sales, field application engineers and channel partners.
Attending conferences and/or supporting Marketing Communications.

Demonstrate knowledge of RF communication systems and components used in the signal chain
Perform advanced laboratory measurements on a variety of RF components
Ability to design evaluation kits/reference designs and produce associated technical documentation
Communicates technical information clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Collaborates well with others to achieve defined business goals
The following traits are highly valued:
Strong fundamental knowledge of commercial wireless connectivity architectures and standards including 802.11, GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, 3GPP/LTE.
RF/mixed-signal IC design experience, use of design tools (including simulation and data analysis), experience with all RF building blocks including antennas, filters, switches, attenuators, LNA, Synthesizers, DVGAs, mixers, and power amplifiers.
Extensive knowledge of RF measurement techniques and lab equipment including S-parameters, harmonics, IP2/IP3, phase noise, and standard specific requirements.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot customer issues on the spot.
Experience support highly integrated RF CMOS products
Technical writing skills for application notes, customer documentation, industry papers.
Excellent communication/presentation and public speaking skills.
Must be a self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and excellent problem solving skills.
Education and Experience:
BSEE required, MSEE is preferred
5 years related experience in one or more of the following areas: RF/microwave board design, RF sub-system design using multiple ICs in a module and/or PCB Antenna design, filter design and associated product development. Must be willing to travel
