The Microcontroller Products Group has an opening for a Test Engineer to support the development of new Kinetis ARM Cortex?-M0+ and ARM Cortex?-M4 microcontroller products, Your primary responsibility is to develop test capability using the Teradyne J750 tester platform for the characterization, qualification and production of new devices. As a member of the New Products Introduction team, you will regularly interact with your team members from design, verification and product engineering to plan and deliver the most robust and cost efficient test solution possible. This position allows you to perform a wide variety of technical work from software development to hands-on hardware debug.
Responsibilities include writing test plans, developing test methodologies, generating test patterns and software programs for the automatic test equipment, designing interface hardware for final test and probe, specifying new DFT features, refining the test flow to reduce cost and maximize product yield, and root-causing circuit issues related to design marginality or process variation.
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with a GPA of 3.25 or higher
Broad knowledge of digital, analog, mixed-signal and memory integrated circuits
Experience with a hardware description language, logic simulation and test bench environment
Fundamental knowledge of the integrated circuit manufacturing process is a plus
Embedded systems and assembly language programming
Experience and keen interest in software development using object oriented programming and scripting languages such as C/C++ and Ruby
Familiarity with SCAN and BIST design-for-test methods
Familiarity with principles of software engineering and revision control tools
Excellent problem solving skills and desire for hands-on technical work
Good communication skills and interest in working with global teams
Prior summer internship with a semiconductor company is a plus
