Aquion Energy, Inc.- A high performing clean energy start-up company based in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for an ambitious and talented Product Test Manager for our Systems team!
Job Summary:
The Product Test Manager will lead a product test team and formulate the strategy, planning, estimating, and execution of the Engineering Team?s battery and systems testing tasks. The overall responsibilities include all activities in the test life cycle such as developing, maintaining, and executing test cases. The Product Test Manager will mentor a test team and drive towards program deliverables meeting on-time and on-cost delivery targets. The focus of Aquion Energy?s engineering group is commercializing energy storage products for multiple markets.
Responsibilities:
Strategize testing and formulate test plans
Prepare test setup required for test execution
Design and Execute test cases if required
Review of test cases and review test Input documents
Manage product development test assets and outside test resources
Raise defects for product non-conformance
Publish test reports and defect analysis
Analyze requirements and report out testable/not testable
Determine the timeline for testing
Manage the acquisition of required test equipment
Provide technical leadership to testing personnel supporting the assigned project
Ensure proper documentation of test strategies and methodologies are captured and described in the certification planning and other documents for the assigned projects
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Complete day-to-day technical management including responsibility for managing: cost, schedule, and technical test content
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Desired Skills:
BS Electrical Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with SME, IEC, UL, ISTA, and IEEE testing standards.
Experience testing electrical, mechanical, and battery based systems
Advanced Quality Planning training and experience
3 years of experience in a test lead role
Proven team building and problem solving abilities
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
