About the Job
In this role, you will produce, manage, and own the final visual assets needed to create the best smartphone and app experience for our users. In order to achieve this goal, you will work in a highly collaborative environment with user experience designers, usability researchers, product managers and developers. You will participate and interact with real customers. You will present and summarize ideas to our executive team and cross-functionally to marketing, training, and support.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to turn broad concepts into products that are not only beautiful, but are purposeful in their design and simplicity. You will be required to articulate how your solutions solve real user challenges. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated to search out the people and solutions to help get you there. We are an end-to-end solutions provider, so you will get to work with hardware, software, cellular networks, and backend systems.
This is a perfect role for someone who has strong design experience as well as understanding of how to simplify navigation through complex applications and enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have experience designing for both mobile applications and websites.
Design and develop user interface for multiple products while having a total end-to end user experience in mind.
Create and provide fast prototypes to drive quick decisions.
Visit and interact with real users as part of analysis.
Lead rapid iterations on multiple wireframes, sketches, and whiteboard sessions to produce fully designed comps
Participate in multi-disciplinary brainstorming sessions with designers, product managers, engineers, and research managers
Develop user flows, wireframes, and user experience specifications based on multi-functional collaboration.
Collaborate and work closely with engineers to iterate in fast-paced Agile and scrum cycles.
Present, write and document clearly, and will interactively communicate with a broad range of people including designers, product managers, architects and top-level executives.
Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Visual/Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Business or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 3 years experience in consumer electronics, Apps, or websites
Ability to articulate big picture design ideas as well as have impeccable attention to detail
Ability to translate customer and user research to design decisions
Strong communication skills and listening skills
Strong problem solving capabilities and data analysis skills
Situational leadership skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of organization
Solid portfolio of past achievements.
Master's in Visual/Graphic Design, Interaction Design
A strong creative background in Graphic Design mixed with User Experience and User Interface Design.
Experience with wire framing and mockups
Experience using with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Power Point, etc
Experience with multiple device application platforms (J2ME, BREW, Android, iPhone) and system architectures.
Have experience working in Customer Development teams
