As a key member of the production operations team, you will lead the design, implementation and evolution to the next generation production operations automation strategy in support of the Xactly SaaS platform.
You?ll bring to the role a passion for building flexible, extensible, highly scalable, robust, and high performance production automation systems. You must be driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will be proficient and proven in the design and implementation of a scalable multi-tenant production automation systems and the pay a key role in selecting and implementing the use of a mix of leading, industry standard, and emerging technologies. You have a track record of working with a team and applying the right technology to the problem including thinking and implementing outside the RDBMS-paradigm. You will bring your battle proven experience in web operations of a SaaS, consumer destination site, or other large-scale production-engineering platform to the team. You will own and directly contribute to the design, implementation, evaluation, selection, and support of production automation technologies. You will serve as the lead automation engineer for our customer facing production architecture, which includes Xactly Corporation?s entire product suite. Working in a dynamic environment, you will collaborate with product managers, peer software engineers and architects, QA engineers, DBAs and production operations systems engineers.
? At least 6 years commercial experience as a hands-on Production Operations Engineer
? Implementation experience building multi-tenant production operations environment that is a key part of the product and
? Proficient in at least one high level programing language such as Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, etc?
? Strong understanding of at least one configuration management tool such as Chef, CFEngine, Puppet, etc?
? Proven production implementation of continuous delivery / continuous build pipeline
? Fundamental knowledge of SQL skills and experience in an Relational DB environment
? Proficient in server side Java implementations in a Linux based service oriented architecture
? Fundamental knowledge of all traditional Data Warehouse-related components (Sourcing, ETL, Data Modeling,
Infrastructure, BI, Reporting) and multiple tools to support those components.
? History of building automated ?cookie-cutter? installation and deployment processes
? Familiarity with non-relational technologies such as NoSQL and Map-reduce
? Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
? Self-starter that is results focused with the ability to work independently and in teams
? Ability to balance tactical delivery with strategic vision to advance towards business-driven, time-critical objectives
? Proven track record of producing high quality production automation systems against plans and schedules that are being
? Excellent documentation skills to include diagrams, power-point presentations with intent of handing over to production
operations engineering team
? B.S. in Computer Science or other relevant technical field
HIGHLY DESIRED EXPERIENCE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
? Production experience with Map-reduce, Hadoop, and Hive, JBoss, Tomcat
? Implementation experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, etc?
? Previous experience working with large data sets that create near real-time analytics
? Familiarity and experience with agile development and release processes
? Experience in both small and large companies
