The prospective candidate must be comfortable working with content management systems, be skilled at tackling multiple projects at once, and be able to work well independently. Candidate must also have some knowledge of online media and an interest in the subjects of pregnancy, parenting, health, wellness, and other health/ lifestyle issues.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the editorial team in building centers, articles, packages, and special features in a content management system (CMS).
Researching regular editorial projects that require production, such as seasonal packages and member-tip slideshows.
Coding articles with HTML.
Fixing CMS issues and errors on the Web site as they arise.
Working with the editorial team to contribute ideas for the site.
Writing blurbs and headlines, such as newsletter promotions and homepage modules.
Qualifications:
College degree, preferably with English or journalism concentration or equivalent experience.
Basic understanding of HTML, content management systems, and online media.
Solid writing, editing, research, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multitask.
