THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Production Laboratory Associateis responsible for the manufacture of R&D biological products and the quality testing of all products within manufacturing department. This position will be a part of the new product transfer team and are responsible for ensuring that all processes are established to effectively produce any new products. Production Laboratory Associates are responsible for lab maintenance and inventory control. They will have computer responsibilities as well as being able to analyze data. The position requires flexibility to perform multiple tasks in a given work day. This position requires a self- motivated individual who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment that requires a lot of attention to detail.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
Execute assigned tasks in a timely fashion
Properly handle and quality control all human based cell lines according to standard protocols.
Manufacture of a variety of products so to meet product specifications. Follow production schedules to assure on-time delivery of finished product.
Perform quality control assays to assure that products meet release requirements for purity, activity and functionality.
General laboratory and equipment maintenance including preparation of reagents for lab use and freezer maintenance.
Inventory management including laboratory materials, WIP and cell bank storage.
Ensure accurate records and write, revise or review standard operating procedures and other technical writing.
Work with ERP system and other computer systems
Cross-train within adjacent departments as assigned.
Ability to work in a team environment and work with various departments as required.
Participate in multidisciplinary product improvement and development teams to support team goals.
Participate in relevant scientific meetings, manufacturing technology meetings and technical seminars
Understands and complies with the ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
Performs a variety of cellular based assays with knowledge of immunohistochemical and fluorescent and colorimetric assays.
Use of spectrophotometry, fluorescent/luminescent plate readers and microscopy
Responsible for DNA/RNA techniques including mRNA production.
Works with stem cells in culture, reprogramming and use in assays.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimal Experience/Educational Requirements
BS or BA in Science or other related field or equivalent work experience
Basic laboratory techniques
Highly competent in aseptic and tissue culture techniques
Experience with molecular biology procedures.
Prior experience with stem cell culture preferred.
Prior experience in an industrial setting preferred.
Experience with new product transfer and assay optimization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Organized and methodical
Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task
Must be able to prioritize duties.
Willingness to work in team environment
Work with human based cell culture systems and possible work with human tissue. Safety training provided.
Work with liquid nitrogen vapor phase freezers and/or dry ice
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Occasionally required to work evenings or weekends.
