Production / Manufacturing Manager ClearEdge Power
This position provides manufacturing leadership and excellence to build a world-class production operation. Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors and employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing performance results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement (Lean/TPM) tools, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork. Serves as the focal point in establishing plant strategies and achieve plant goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide business and technical leadership necessary to ensure the ClearEdge Power production team meets and/or exceed goals in critical manufacturing success areas. Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the plant.
Oversee the production process, develop and execute to a production schedule.
Works to continuously improve in all areas by establishing and sustaining effective management relationships in order to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems.
Ensures effective employee relations by creating an environment where all employees are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential in meeting department/business goals.
Obtain in-depth understanding of technical manufacturing processes and ensure that first-level supervisors are progressively developing technical expertise.
Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Supports the company?s ISO 9001 by assuring compliance with established procedures, process and protocols. Ensure that production facilities and finished products meet the company standards of quality and safety.
Responsible for planning, budgeting and forecasting department resources including staffing, inventory, production equipment, maintenance and other production support items.
Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to senior leadership.
Ensure health and safety policies are followed and conduct accident investigations as necessary.
Makes employment decisions. Provides employee coaching and development
Works with the Bargaining Unit to achieve common goals and issue resolutions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree required. Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business or Management major preferred
5-7 years of manufacturing management experience (preferably in a Union environment)
Demonstrated experience using Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma)
Strong leadership skills including the ability to implement change, influence business strategies, and resolve conflict
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity and change
Demonstrated understanding of technology i.e. complexities of products, machinery, and costs
Good analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Proven financial analysis and resource allocation skills
