ARY:
Responsible for managing the fulfillment of customer orders through the Laboratory. Duties include, creating clear and attainable fulfillment objectives, review of customer requirements, managing and meeting all timelines and tracking of appropriate performance metrics. Responsible for consistent work flow, accurate tracking or orders and shipments, and the creation, scheduling and processing of work order related tasks through the laboratory. A key function is to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with business developers, Laboratory Operations, Strategic Alliances and IT team members, as well as act as an effective link between the two areas. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the key issues of quality, timeliness, and above all client satisfaction, are realized.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and manage fulfillment of standard and non-standard customer orders
Define the scope and order fulfillment requirements for non-standard customer orders; including government projects
Identify and resolve any potential issues that may arise during the course of order fulfillment
Support the Sales and Lab Operations teams by creating, shipping, and closing custom work orders by following standard operating procedures
Manage backorders for order fulfillment
Assist in quality control review of all work orders to ensure requirements are met. This will include, but not be limited to, the review of H&E images, tumor purity, RNA quality scores, etc.
Establish and prepare metrics, including PO/order tracking, quality issues encountered during outbound order preparation and tracking of customer returns
Resolve and track all customer complaints according to ISO 9001 standards
Respond to all external and internal order processing inquiries
Provide weekly updates to Business Development staff and communicate as needed with internal partners
Identify and develop improvements in departmental processes
Develop Standard Operating Procedures
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in science or related field
Experience managing complex projects in a high tech environment
A good understanding of human biology and anatomy, including tissues, cells and functions. Previous lab experience working with human tissue is preferred
Strong relationship building skills (customer service or sales). Previous customer service experience preferred
Previous management or supervisory experience or participation in management training programs is required
Ability to set and meet budget requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Strong computer skills, (knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Independent problem-solving abilities
Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills, including ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-pace, deadline-driven environment
Strong leadership and interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A high degree of problem solving and decision making skills is required
