The Role ? Production Process Transfer Specialist
In this dual role, you are the primary interface for existing or new production process transfer with Shanghai Promega while simultaneously providing custom and technical support for sales of protein products. Working closely with Promega?s Madison operations, you leverage your proven organizational and entrepreneurial skills to act as an advocate for Shanghai manufacturing to target high value opportunities. A creative and analytical professional, you proactively provide process quotations, custom order requests and related documentation to efficiently serve customers, building lasting relationships as you champion customer requirements, value-added services and timely fulfillment.
Responsible for performing assays to assure that products meet existing requirements for purity, activity and functionality, you implement experimental design, perform analysis of project specific data and use scientific and technical resources to recommend solutions and solve problems. From analyzing the operational and cost impacts of process/product improvements to participating on multidisciplinary product improvement teams, your talent for designing problem-solving experiments leads to solutions that improve existing manufacturing and QC processes. When process improvements are identified, you document results and provide technical reports with supporting materials like graphic representations to ensure clear communication between dispersed team members. A strong collaborator who has a reputation for seeking out and testing the latest technologies, you work seamlessly with Marketing, QA and R&D personnel to identify customer requirements and process improvements, as well as make recommendations for QA hold/product recall and quality improvements.
? Bachelor of Science degree with 6+ years of postgraduate lab experience or Master of Science degree with 4+ years of postgraduate lab experience
? Experience with molecular biology, general microbiology or cell biology techniques
? Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects, products and assays simultaneously
? Established track record of experimental design and problem solving
? Proven ability to work in an integrated team environment coupled with demonstrated team and project leadership experience
? Exceptional organizational and communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret and communicate scientific results, working seamlessly with team scientists
? Outstanding internal and external customer service skills
? Experience with, or a willingness to learn, computer-based inventory tracking systems and other programs as applicable; experience using computerized collection and analysis of experimental data a plus
? Experience using molecular, cell or biochemical assays and reagents (in vitro translation extracts, nucleic acid purification and quantitation, etc.) preferred
? Chinese language skills are a plus
? Manufacturing, R&D and/or quality assurance, as well as ISO, TQM, SPC and/or cGMP, experience preferred; experience qualifying vendors and suppliers a plus
