JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control testing of synthetic DNA products by following established protocols and SOP?s.
Perform sequence analysis for in-process and final QC testing.
Incoming QC testing of reagents and interfacing with vendors to resolve issues of non-conforming materials.
Lead Failure Analysis and troubleshooting activities for product and process issues.
Execute and expand on the current SPC metrics including data and correlation analysis directed at process improvements.
Execute on tolerance analysis studies of manufacturing equipment directed at ensuring instrument calibration adherence.
Participate in the transfer, validation and implementation of new processes and products into manufacturing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters or PhD degree Biology, Biochemistry or Biomedical Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Quality Control department of a life science company.
Manufacturing experience with automated fluid handling equipment.
Expertise with molecular biology protocols and a deep understanding of related reagents.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, fellow employees, and senior management.
Demonstrated use of DOE, SPC data analysis and Failure Analysis techniques.
Experience with scripting languages a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of team in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
