We have an immediate opening for a Production Quality Control Lead in our San Mateo, California headquarters.
We are currently looking for an energetic and talented Production Quality Control Lead as we expand our Device Production Group and scale out our production output. This position reports to the Process Manager. As a senior member of our Device Production Group, you will work with our Quality Control (QC) team to assure that the highest levels of quality and device integrity are met for each system produced. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience utilizing QC methodologies to measure and improve product quality, identify bottlenecks, and process performance problems. These quality standards may include ISO (International Standards Organization) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute). Telecommuting is not authorized for this position.
Provide hands-on leadership on in all QC activities to ensure each device produced meets strict internal quality and performance controls.
Develop, define, teach, peer-review, and continually improve the overall QC production process, procedures, and techniques with the objective of increasing both overall quality and productivity of the Device Production Group.
Develop and maintain internal QC monitoring controls of the final assembly process; conduct risk assessments and corrective action solution to ensure the highest levels of quality are maintained while still delivering on increased output demand.
Analyze test results, verify functionality, document bugs, and recommend solutions to hardware and software engineers.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and management to establish requirements for new systems and/or hardware modifications.
Develop and maintain daily tracking output reports for management.
Support and assist assembly technicians in delivering upon internal production schedules and commitments.
Work independently to meet team goals with minimal supervision.
3-5 years? experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing or similar industry, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
B.S. degree required in electronic engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
C++, Java, and SQL, and/or microcontroller programming experience preferred.
Experience using electronic test equipment such as digital voltmeters (DMV), digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscope, RF probes, and logic analyzers is preferred.
Extensive experience using Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.
Strong interest in testing mobile handset devices produced by multiple manufacturers with experience using the many functions and menu systems of a wide range of mobile phones.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must work well independently and within a team environment, be highly motivated and enthusiastic, and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where working on multiple priority activities is normal. Willing to learn new processes, techniques, and procedures.
Eager to exceed personal build-out quotas and assist teammates to do the same.
Willing to work weekends, when necessary.
