Job Summary:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling, capacity planning, and production control at Aquion Energy. The organization is focused on developing supply chain strategies, driving globalization of sourced products, and reducing cost through various efficiency improvements, and materials cost reduction strategies.
The position works closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and sales to execute the sales and operations plan; maintains master production schedules; participates, and where appropriate, leads ERP system continuous improvement projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Construct and execute a Plant MPS to optimize capacity and efficiency, taking into account bottlenecks, manpower, customer requirements, inventories, ECN?s, and cash flow optimization.
Create detailed production schedules by work center based on customer demand and plant performance.
When necessary, use Excel to build and manage work center schedules and capacity utilization tools.
Manage day to day load leveling while maintaining detailed schedules throughout the planning horizon.
Ensure suppliers meet quality requirements and applicable regulatory requirements by initiating appropriate action when supplier quality or compliance deficiencies are identified.
Execute purchase orders to support the build plan.
Forecast supply vulnerabilities and implement plans to insure continuity of supply. Manage commercial relationships to ensure reliable supply and appropriate resolution of any disputes that arise related to supply.
Trend actual vs. forecasted sales bookings, requested deliveries, and committed deliveries.
Key participant and super user during ERP implementation and thereafter.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Position Requirements:

Key Competencies required:
Experience working in a manufacturing plant with all functional areas and suppliers to ensure the on-time delivery of materials/services to end users with the lowest total cost of ownership.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, both internally and externally.
Experience in negotiations, time management, conflict resolution, and project management.
Organizational agility, process management, planning accurately, knowledge of procurement contracts and related laws.
Solid understanding of analytical measurement tools as well as an understanding of accounting and financial analysis.
Demonstrated experience with integrated Purchasing Systems (PLEX, IFS, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP system); and demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience managing supplier productivity and working with suppliers for value creation.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision
Strong written/oral communication skills
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, financial reporting, and legal aspects of procurement
Demonstrated experience working with suppliers to ensure the on-time delivery of materials/services to end users with the lowest total cost of ownership.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree in a business, technical, or related area preferred; with 5 years manufacturing experience in a material planning/purchasing function.
Previous Production Scheduling experience a must.
Good understanding of materials management and purchasing concepts.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Superior analytical skills are required to develop cost savings proposals.

Language Skills: Must be fluent in English and be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
