Production Scheduler Optovue
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Production Scheduler will plan, schedule, coordinate, and control products through the production cycle. Works with engineering plans, MRP, and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. The Production Scheduler will validate that materials are provided according to schedule. Provides input to management. Reschedules in case of material shortages, backlogs, priority changes or schedule interruptions.
Develops, maintains and controls the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of product to customers.
Assists production supervisors with the implementation of the production schedule.
Prepares reports, presentations and graphs with monthly summaries.
Monitors Inventory flow for components availability.
Communicates and follows up on planning issues and components availability with relevant areas such as Mater Scheduling, Marketing, Production, Customer Service, etc.
Coordinate with teams to ensure on time completion of work orders.
Opens, maintains, and reconciles work orders to accurately reflect what materials actually used, updates the scheduled completion date in Oracle, and closes the work orders eliminating/minimizing any variances.
Makes timely, accurate work order adjustments for ECO activity, approved substitutions, and reject/replacement activity if resources are not available as planned, or when equipment fails.
Monitors inventor levels and assists with daily cycle counting activities.

Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor?s Degree Preferred: Preferably in Business, Math, Computer Science or Engineering. Plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning/scheduling and inventory control.
Basic accounting skills preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and recommend corrective actions.
Advance knowledge/understanding of the Bills of Materials (BOM), supply chain, and production processes.
Excellent math skills and understanding of manufacturing/materials resource planning (MRP). Able to work with mathematical concepts, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios.
Proficient in reading, understanding, and utilizing MRP reports including planned order reports, open order reports, and et.al.
Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point. Oracle experience preferred.
APICS Certification in inventory and demand and supply chain planning at a minimum.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment and medical device industry.
Familiarity with ISO, FDA, and quality system manufacturing requirements.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required plus the ability to read and understand manufacturing process instructions.
