JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Manufacture synthetic genes in strict accordance with established Operating Procedures.
Operate automated liquid handlers and other lab equipment in strict accordance with current safety guidelines.
Troubleshoot processing problems and evaluate non-routine results including participating in or leading Failure Analysis studies.
Provide feedback and contribute to new or improved lab techniques, protocols and processes.
Assist and/or lead the implementation and validation of new production procedures.
Execute on Process Development and Optimization studies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum BS degree in related field such as Biomedical engineering, Molecular biology, or Biochemistry with 1-3 years production experience, preferably with a biotech company.
Hands-on experience with automated liquid handling equipment.
Experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR and other standard protocols.
Excellent written, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and senior management.
Fluent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with a scripting language, such as Python, a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of team in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work 2nd shift.
