Production Services Analyst and Developer Internet Broadcasting Systems

Position Statement:The Production Services Developer will be focused on supporting and developing existing client sites on IB?s proprietary platform. The Developer will work with Production Managers to identify solutions, workarounds, and details of bugs and client requested changes. If the Developer is unable to complete the requested work with tools available, the Developer will be responsible for documenting their analysis for escalation to another internal resource.
Expectations for the Position:
Work with the Production Services and Web Development teams to deliver client requested features and correct issues reported on client sites.
Position requires daily troubleshooting of CSS, HTML, and Javascript issues on client websites
Required to work daily in IB?s proprietary CMS and develop extensive knowledge of IB hardware and software components for triage, support, and execution of client requests.
Participate as a team member of Production Services, including attending meetings, providing input on client projects, and working to develop team capabilities and documentation.
Concise and accurate communication regarding technical issues and resolution through internal tasking system.
Required to complete task estimation and ability to accurately judge amount of work needed for completion of client requests.
Participation in On-call rotation
Required to work occasional nights or weekends dependent on project demands
Desired Candidate Traits:
Excellent technical communication skills ? candidate needs to concisely articulate and provide detail on software bugs and communicate effectively to deliver client-requested site changes
Needs a working knowledge of CSS, HTML, Javascript, XML/JSON, and IntelliJ IDEA ? Position will require coding and troubleshooting using these toolsets.
Familiarity with Enterprise-level CMS systems; ability to learn and develop familiarity with new features quickly.
Flexibility ? candidate will need to move quickly from one task to another; potentially examining and working with many different system components in a short time.
Technical aptitude for display-layer development and triage
Drive to deliver on a deadline ? speed and accuracy are absolutely necessary to thrive in this position.
