We are currently seeking a Production Specialist to be responsible for providing expertise and support in all aspects of the use of television, video, and audio systems used to provide training broadcasts.
Serves as the operator of all hardware and software in a broadcast studio/control room such as the One-Touch viewer response system, Autoscript, Captivate, PowerPoint, Adobe Production Premium CS6, and other related studio software (e.g. Adobe Media Encoder, Articulate, Chyron Lyric).
Troubleshoots any hardware and software problems that arise.
Records video clips as requested.
Works with clients and instructors to develop the most effective broadcast possible.
Maintains studio usage and trouble logs.
Recommends equipment modifications and upgrades as necessary.
Edits with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.
Operates control room equipment during rehearsal, broadcast, and taping sessions.
Performs routine maintenance to ensure continuity of studio operations.
Troubleshoots and problem-solves existing systems and equipment.
Reports equipment problems to studio management.
Ensures that the closed captioning signal is broadcasting.
Operates the One Touch VRS used for student interaction and for communicating to and from remote downlink sites with the broadcast facility.
Operates other software used to enhance student interaction as needed, such as Lesson Exchange Board (Ask It Now), SharePoint, and Blackboard.
Provides studio production support and technical assistance for instructors, IVT broadcasts, and other multi-media projects.
Provides technical support to onsite instructors and course managers for rehearsals, broadcasts, and tapings.
Maintains a friendly and supportive attitude.
Provides technical support to the Studio Manager on IVT logistics and other multi-media issues.
Assists in providing tours of the SSA broadcast studios.
Maintains broadcast and test logs.
Sets up the studios, props and backdrops, microphones, lights, etc. to support a variety of broadcasts and taping sessions.
Provides content and compresses videos for Video on Demand (VOD).
Lights sets using various techniques in the Studio and on location.
Operates location audio and video equipment.
Edits screen captures and interactive tutorials using Captivate and Articulate.
Creates video animations for use in opens, promos, IDs, etc., using Premiere, After Effects, or Light Wave.
Creates animated lower thirds using After Effects and Chyron Lyric.
Creates other multi-media projects using Captivate and Articulate.
Edits scripts using Autoscript Teleprompter Software and Microsoft Word.
Operates a GrassValley 1ME switcher and uses keying or matting for green-screen effects.
Operates remote control studio cameras.
Creates video productions for DVD.
Demonstrates an ability to work with high level executives such as the Regional Commissioner (RC), Deputy RC, and Assistant t Regional Commissioner.
Provides DVD copies of broadcasts or parts of broadcasts.
Works with a team to ensure full coverage of broadcast studios at all times.
Uses Microsoft Producer to create VOD lessons by synchronizing video, audio, and graphics.
Creates simulations and multiple outcome training modules using Adobe Captivate.
Develops complex branching and remediation applications in Adobe Captivate.
Edits and conforms content as necessary with Adobe Suite.
Works closely with internal customers to ensure that finished VOD lessons are reviewed prior to distribution.
Serves as a ?virtual technician? to other studios by completing editing, retouching, video compression, and other tasks remotely.
Job Requirements :
AS Degree or equivalent experience
At least 12 months experience in live video production
Excellant communication skills
Works well in a team environment
Flexible in changing situations
Experience with Adobe Production Premium CS6 (or any modern non-linear editing software) preferred.
