Aquion Energy Inc., Mt Pleasant, Pennsylvania Manufacturing Facility produces Aquion?s Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI) battery and energy storage system. Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a high performing team of individuals in various areas of manufacturing in the production of our commercial product. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all shift operations including organizing, planning, and scheduling work along with directing and instructing employees on proper methods and procedures. This is a fast paced, high-energy environment where we value team players with a high level of initiative.
Supervises the activities and personnel engaged in manufacturing of products within their assigned department and shift.
Interprets, applies, and/or enforces all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.
Develops, directs, and manages manufacturing personnel and trains them to properly utilize all equipment and tools.
Conducts employee training in equipment operations of work and safety procedures.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
Promotes safety, quality and on-time delivery of all products.
7-10 years manufacturing experience, 5 years minimum in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven technical and managerial skills to effectively administer the production process.
Ability to prioritize and manage shift schedules effectively.
Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a difference.
Ability to write reviews and provide feedback and coaching in a constructive manner as part of ongoing performance management for employees.
Bachelor's degree or 2 year Associate degree in a related field
Ability to squat, bend
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
