The Job
Responsibilities
- Work with Technicians to set up tooling, raw material plate on machine and spin components.
- Work with Engineering on tool and component design for additional spin-formed parts.
- Develop necessary spin techniques for various material types, sizes, and configurations.
- Direct hardware delivery projects for the development of structural components supporting the dome spinning for the tanks.
- Effectively manage an overall staff of 10+ technicians
- Manage schedule and work load according to needs
- Responsible for employee performance reviews
- Responsible of maintenance of the machine and making efficiency changes to the production process
Requirements
- 2+ years of Production and Management experience required
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Must demonstrate some physical dexterity in order to correctly set up tooling and hardware.
Preferred skills
- BS Degree in a technical field desired
- 3-5 years of experience required with hydraulic and manual spinning lathes, using heat to material during spinning.
