POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Support Engineer position is responsible for the 24/7/365 support of the production hosted application environments. This includes the setup and configuration of all network systems, VMware vSphere and the daily support and maintenance of multiple Windows 2000/2003/2008 servers, Linux, running IIS, Java, Tomcat, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008. The Production Support Engineer will operate within a highly structured change control environment and will evaluate, resolve, and recommend appropriate action for all telecommunication, network, server, software and hardware problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Monitor and support Datacert?s hosted applications, servers and network systems 24/7/365 to maintain a ?highly available? production environment
Provide support of at least three independent VMware private cloud environments supporting over 250+ VM?s and multiple Active Directory forests and domains
Manage and monitor all services provided by third party hosting providers
Maintain high levels of redundancy and data reliability
Provide configuration management of the production, staging, and development environments
Support the testing and deployment of changes to existing production environment and new Datacert hosted products
Configure and deploy all Datacert owned hardware to production
Strictly adhere to all security and change management policies and procedures
Create and maintain policies, procedures and documentation to support annual third-party SAS-70/SSAE and ISO audits

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses and Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in related field required
MCITP required
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on senior level experience as a Network Engineer in the following environments: Windows 2000/2003/2008, HP/Compaq hardware, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 administration
Experience working in a highly structured change control environment with external audit requirements such as SAS70/SSAE, ISO, SOX is highly preferred
Checkpoint or Cisco firewall certification and/or hands-on administration experience preferred
CCNA or equivalent hands-on Cisco support experience preferred
Linux administration experience a plus
