The Professional Services Consultant (PSC) serves as the primary liaison to customers during the deployment phases of the project as well as post-sale. The PSC, along with the Senior Business Consultant, provides joint account management, implementation services, and value-added consultative services throughout the customer lifecycle. The PSC is responsible for ensuring all services are deployed following the PS methodology which provides the foundation for high quality solutions. The PSC must effectively manage projects (Project Management) to ensure that project milestones are completed on time and within budget.
?Implements the Vocollect solution utilizing the Professional Services Methodology
oInteracts directly with various customer representatives ranging from senior operations management, IT representatives, warehouse operations management, and end-users throughout the post-sale implementation process.
oDefines the scope for all professional services engagements and responsible for generating and delivering estimates to the customer.
oResponsible for understanding system design and operational goals from the perspective of all vested parties including internal stakeholders, partners, and the end-user customer.
oImplements proof of concept and/or production systems as well as providing the associated training necessary for customer interaction with the system.
oDuring the lifecycle of a project, the PSC generates and maintains a wide range of documentation including the system architecture documents, project plans, Training documentation, site support documents, System Problem Reports (SPR), New Feature Requests (NFR); and system change requests as they surface in the implementation phase of the project.
oConducts Post Implementation site audits; and implementation trouble shooting as required, utilizing Vocollect Technical Support Center (TSC) and Technical Support Specialists as resources to aide in problem resolution.
oPerforms on-site annual site audit; Installs all software required per specifications (i.e. VoiceConsole, VoiceLink, etc); Perform.
oProvides technical training to customers, partners, Trainers, Selectors, DC, Champions, Supervisors, etc. on all Vocollect products. This includes the training to site IT on proper use of Talkman Software, burning code and trouble shooting.
oResponsible for complex, in-depth technical support and product assistance in the implementation / installation, and troubleshooting of products, systems, and related equipment as required.
?Maintains on-going contact with customer throughout the customer lifecycle and beyond (Customer Success Program) to position and deliver value-added professional services.
?Works closely with the Director of Professional Services to develop new Professional Service offerings based on needs of the customer.
?Responsible for attaining billable and customer utilization targets as directed by the Director of Professional Services.
?Responsible for developing implementation work estimates in support of quoting process and time and expense data gathering for customer billing.
?Provides internal Product Management team with feedback to the improvement of existing products and the development of future products.
?Additional duties as assigned.
?Must possess a BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
?Must possess a PMI Certificate or equivalent work experience with emphasis on Project Management.
?Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites is required (approximately 60% to 70% overnight travel)
?Must possess at least 3 - 5 years hands-on technical experience including an in depth knowledge of TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, DNS, Telnet, routing, and client/server computing as well as general networking concepts, protocols, and related diagnostic and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with Ethernet packet analysis on both LAN and WLAN infrastructures is highly preferred.
?Demonstrated success in effectively influencing and motivating diverse project teams.
?A general knowledge of distribution logistics including case-picking, piece-picking, cross-docking, cycle-counting and similar related processes and applications used in a warehouse environment.
?Significant previous experience in delivering training to trainers, end users and/or partner training personal
?A general understanding of programming in Java, C, SQL, VB and/or PERL and related concepts.
?Hands-on experience in the administration of Windows networks, Active Directory, and Internet Information Server (IIS).
?Experience in developing databases and/or database management (SQL-Server preferred).
?Exposure to UNIX/Linux/Novell and cross-platform environments.
?Ability to collect data and analyze data from many sources and interpret trends using statistical analysis.
?Five years experience designing and deploying solutions within Distribution Centers and intermediate knowledge of warehousing best practices.
