To support our growth we are expanding the Professional Services organization.We are seeking a talented Professional Services Consultant ("PS Consultant") to support the implementation of our product in large enterprise environments, and its integration with third-party products. This position requires familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, unix shell script, PHP, etc.), Java programming and a solid working knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.). Prior knowledge of performance monitoring is highly desirable. Candidates must be motivated team players with the ability to work in a hands-on, dynamic environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a person looking to work in the consulting arm of an exciting software company.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to:
Configure and deploy the Netuitive suite of products
Deploy existing integrations to third-party platforms such as BMC PATROL, NetIQ AppManager, IBM Tivoli, Mercury BAC, Microsoft MOM, etc.
Evaluate the architecture of third-party platforms to identify integration points
Rapidly prototype integrations between Netuitive products and other applications.
Provide Technical Support to our continuously growing customer base.
Assist our efforts with the installation and configuration of Netuitive?s products at customer sites. Therefore the ability to travel is required.
Expertise Required
Ability to create and administer SQL databases. This includes writing queries, optimizing queries, and potentially tuning of the database and database queries.
Experience with a major performance management system (BMC PATROL, NetIQ AppManager, CA Unicenter, IBM Tivoli, HP Openview, etc.)
Proficient utilizing Windows and UNIX/Linux systems
Working knowledge of network technologies
Familiarity with data collection and alerting software used to manage an operational environment
Prior experience developing integrations
Minimum of 2 years "real-world" Java programming experience
Prior customer interaction and Professional Services experience
Prior experience working with a Sales Team
Personal Qualifications
The candidate is required to have a College degree in a computer-related discipline. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the following:
Independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on development experience with dedication to quality and customer service.
Proven effectiveness in small team environments.
Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work either independently, or in small teams, with minimal supervision.
