Job Description

With annual growth greater than 50 each year of 2008 and 2009, large enterprise demand for Composites industry leading data virtualization solutions continues to accelerate. To fulfill this demand and continue our fast-paced growth, Composite is adding an A player to our professional services team.

Composite Software is looking for an enthusiastic individual to help customers successfully utilize our software. You will work directly with both customers and sales representatives to plan and create state-of-the-art enterprise information integration (EII) solutions. You will be identifying and solving customer problems and presenting technical concepts which map customer needs to Composites current and future product offerings.

This individual will also provide product feedback to Composite Product Marketing and Engineering to help improve our products
Responsibilities

- Providing technical expertise to the sales force as they develop new prospects
- Performing high visibility proof of concept implementations at prospective customer sites
- Presenting technical concepts and mapping customer needs to current and future product offerings
- Providing technical expertise to customers implementing our software
- Providing product feedback to Composite Product Marketing and Engineering

Required Skills

Database
In-depth knowledge and experience with data base concepts, architectures, and deployments. This person is most valuable if they have straddled the line between DBA and developer and have in-depth experience with one of the following:

- Oracle
- DB2

Additionally, extensive hands-on experience writing stored procedures in these systems is important, especially if used in conjunction with scripting languages such as:

- PL/SQL
- T-SQL

Java

- Solid Java or OO programming skills required. Development level expertise a plus.
- Solid knowledge of JDBC

OS

- UNIX/Linux/Windows
- Hands-on, ability to trouble-shoot and debug product installations.
- Scripting for UNIX/Linux
- UNIX/Linux system Admin skills a plus

Web Services
Understanding of web services and associated protocols/standards/specifications:

- SOAPli>
- WSDL
- XML
- XSLT

Other

- 5+ years post-sales experience
- History of success in large, complex implementations
- Experience mapping business requirements to technology capabilities
- Ability to take ownership of an issue and lead disparate parties to a timely resolution
- In-depth understanding of Windows and UNIX environments
- Development experience in Java
- In-depth knowledge and experience with database concepts, architectures, and deployments
- Hands-on experience with web services and associated protocols/standards/specifications SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, XML
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- University degree in engineering or computer science
- Travel required.
