The Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the implementation project. The Engagement Manager works as a team member along with the Solution Architect, Technical Architect and Principal Consultant, and has the overall responsibility to drive the completed project for the customer.
Primary responsibilities include:
Maintain contact and communication with all project team members and other participants to ensure conformance with requirements of each project(s) and client user expectations.
Implement strong program management practices (change requests, issue management, risk management and decision tracking) and contribute to standard client implementation methodologies and management best practices.
Assist sales team during opportunity assessment and proposal phases of the service delivery process, particularly as it relates to deployment approach, timeline and deliverables.
Participate in user acceptance test efforts as needed.
Lead internal project team meetings, and meetings with the customer
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- MBA preferred
10+ years of relevant experience in professional services, sales or customer support operations
2-3 years of systems integration and/or implementation experience preferred
Proven Solutions consulting experience in large enterprises
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. Additional preferred qualifications are:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred
Experience with ERP/CRM or similar back office technologies preferred
Strong presentation and communication skills
Willingness to travel to client locations (up to 30%)
Fair knowledge and understanding of Web Service API?s for integration purposes
Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs
Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
Certification in Project Management Methodologies
