We seek an entry-level Engineer to join Professional Consulting Services to learn the Empirix products and engage with customers in US-based corporations.
The Empirix Professional Consulting Services is a group of talented engineers who deliver a range of expert professional network testing and performance monitoring services to companies to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of Enterprise communications systems. Professional Services Consultants report to the Director, Client Services. Positions are located at Empirix, HQ in Bedford, MA, and require company-paid travel to customer sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Engineer will complete their initial training on Empirix Enterprise solutions. Through on-job training the individual will learn to perform a range of systems test activities including presenting product information to small groups, communicating technical concepts, collaborating with customers on scope of work documents, deploying automated testing / monitoring solutions, systems upgrades, installing software releases, and ensuring the effectiveness of Empirix solutions.
The Associate Engineer will be coached by a senior Engineer to implement the Empirix testing methodology taking a methodical, end-to-end approach to IP communications testing and monitoring ? first validating foundational elements - carrier to IP network - and each technology layer IVR, CTI, CRM, presence, chat, etc successively.
REQUIREMENTS
BS degree Engineering, prefer CS or CE
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Interoperability testing, QA procedures, Test Plan development
General knowledge of IP telephony/VoIP, Contact Center, or Unified Communications,
Scripting: Visual Basic; Java, Ruby, XML/VXML, .NET framework is a plus
Database creation and report queries using MS SQL
General knowledge of Systems Performance Monitoring Tools
Business-professional verbal and written communications, and use of MS Office applications, client-facing experience is desirable
Willingness to travel to customer site and implement Empirix test methodology
