The LogRhythm Professional Services Engineer provides two primary functions; performing remote and on-site installation and configuration of LogRhythm technology, and developing device support. Device support consists of researching, understanding, and developing rules-based support of logging systems for the purpose of processing and reporting on log data.
Qualified candidates will have proven experience implementing distributed software-based products. They will also need to have experience in a variety of technologies including networking devices, security devices, operating systems, and databases. Required Skills
3+ years of related field experience
Software installation, integration, and configuration
Some software development and/or scripting experience
Experience with logging systems (i.e., Syslog, Windows Event Log)
Extensive experience installing and working with Windows Server operating system
Experience working with Windows SQL Server 2000/2005
An understanding and comfort with Windows Domain security and audit policies
Comfortable installing and configuring -NIX based applications
Experience working with and configuring routers, switches, and firewall devices
A solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and routing
Valued Skills
Degree in Computer Information Systems or Network Security
Security Information/Event Management solution experience
Intrusion detection/prevention solution experience
Vulnerability assessment/penetration testing experience
IT audit experience
Regular expressions
Start-up experience
