Professional Services - Open Position Description BlueStripe Software
BlueStripe Software, a startup software company in Research Triangle Park recognized as a "Cool Vendor in Application Performance Management" by Gartner, is seeking talented individuals to help grow its Professional Services Team.
BlueStripe's award-winning transaction and application performance management product ? FactFinder ? delivers transaction-based application discovery, dependency mapping, and performance monitoring & analysis for complex, distributed applications in some of the world's largest data centers.
This is a post-sales role in BlueStripe Professional Services, responsible for delighting BlueStripe customers in all aspects of product adoption.
Duties & Responsibilities
Comprehend and demonstrate all facets of the BlueStripe FactFinder product line and help customers to solve enterprise performance and availability problems with transactions, applications, and IT infrastructure
Create and present professional presentations, usually in the form of a slide deck, that outlines and explains the analysis of an enterprise problem or problems
Conduct training and educational sessions and/or classes for BlueStripe customers, either remotely or in person
Participate in product deployment planning based on required hardware, storage, and management domains and provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades based on discussions with customers
Implement BlueStripe product integrations using Java, Perl, C++, VBScript, or shell scripts
Track post-sales customer needs and customer satisfaction with account reps and product management
Travel to customer location as needed (35%)
Skill Requirements
A degree in Computer Science or related field and/or significant work experience in the computer industry
Experience in either a pre-sales, post-sales, or customer support role preferred
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and exemplify professionalism with customers, co-workers and vendors
Ability to solve problems expeditiously and to think creatively
Demonstrate an understanding of enterprise technologies including directory services, mainframes, networking, messaging middleware, virtualization, web-based applications, security, Java, and databases
Experience as a user or a vendor of enterprise systems management tools preferred
Working knowledge of Unix command line environments
Programming experience in either Perl, Java, C++, VBScript, or shell scripts recommended
Demonstrate strong project management skills and an attention to detail
Exhibit optimism, leadership, tenacity, and team-oriented work habits
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Additional Desired Skills
Experience as an instructor or a teacher a plus
