Individuals in this role are responsible for the day-to-day management of one or more deployment projects for Provades global customer base. These projects range in scope from new customer implementations to upgrades. The project manager is responsible for ensuring the solution is implemented according to plan in a professional and team-oriented environment. In addition, the project manager works to ensure that the earning potential of a project is maximized while resulting in a satisfied and referenceable customer.
Areas of responsibility:
- Serve as the main point of contact on implementation projects and coordinate the efforts of internal and external functional and technical staff
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering the implementation lifecycle
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions to determine a customers business and technical requirements, during the sales cycle and throughout the implementation
- Ensure that all project work is accurate, high quality, and delivered in a highly professional manner
- Ensures all project communications are professional, relevant, and efficient
- Interacts with all project stakeholders on a regular basis, manages resolution of project issues.
- Delivers comprehensive status reports to project team, customer, and management
- Undertaking project tasks, as appropriate, in the following areas:
o Scope & Budget Management
o Business Process Analysis
o Solution Requirements and Design
o System Configuration & Testing
o Training
o Service Delivery
- Coordinate post go-live, stabilization activities and transition of project information to Provades Customer Support Organization
- Contribute to the PSO by undertaking key strategic and operational projects and activities
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 to 10 years experience with implementation and project management of business processes and enterprise technology solutions (i.e. , ERP)
- 2 or more years managing complex software implementations
- Strong analytical, business process, change management, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of project management industry best practices
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms; ability to explain PeopleSoft functional and technical capabilities clearly
- Assist with translating business needs into the appropriate PeopleSoft technologies
- Travel: Depending on the project, travel can range from 25 to 50
- Bachelors degree (preferably in computer science or management information systems) or equivalent field or equivalent years of experience in related field
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- 1 to 3 years PeopleSoft ePro and/or sPro solutions experience. Experience with similar applications, such as Oracles iProcurement, Ariba, etc., will also be considered.
- Functional experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle applications and technologies: Purchasing, Payables, eProcurement, Services Procurement (PO, AP, ePro, sPro).
- Working knowledge of contingent labor procurement processes.
- 1 or more years implementing VMS applications and/or MSP programs.
- 3 or more years with a Big 5 consulting firm or related experience.
- Project management certifications or related experience.
