We are currently seeking a Professional Services Solutions Architect
This position will report into the Global PS Director. At DDN we're growing and investing in our PS organization to transition to a solutions-based, services led engagement model with the end goal to grow into a Big Data Consulting practice, which helps solve our customers' big data problems. In this position you will provide advanced technical and/or business consultative services during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycle, supporting Sales and SE's to scope, size, price Consulting services, support the field with creating Statement of works and help deliver projects sold. In this position you play a critical role in the capture for re-use of key services and sales artifacts to help build out a solid Services Portfolio. By applying DDN and Storage Industry related technical acumen, relationship development, and consultative selling skills, you will help co-facilitate our transition to a solutions-based Big Data Consulting practice.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
?Develops strategies, policies and best practices for the customer.
?Develops and cultivates strong customer relationships
?Provides technical leadership during the implementation of an engagement.
?Participates in the installation, customization, and integration of an DDN solutions
?Uses knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of storage infrastructure and management.
?Builds value-added relationships within the domain of the account to become the trusted advisor.
?Maintains awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware/systems situations.
?Proactively alerts project management and sales team of potential problems and solutions.
?May be required to support and instruct less experienced co-workers, through classroom training sessions or on-the-job mentoring.
?Supports the design and development of the technical content defined in the statement of work
?Support PS Portfolio creation through best practice sharing, IP-capture for re-use
?Designs the DDN solution and supports the installation, customization, and integration of the solution. Prepares technical architectural and implementation design documents and works with the project management to develop the implementation plan.
?Works closely with the project management to define project deliverables and schedules.
?Helps to identify and leverage DDN and partner resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the implementation.
?Is a lead technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be delivered in the engagement.
?Responsible for the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements.
?Develops and articulates solutions based on a customer''s strategic business or technical requirements.
?Leads project quality assurance activities, including performing technical QA reviews on components for a team and performing QA reviews of code documentation.
?Adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures.
?Leads requirements gathering for project engagements.
?May supervise staff on project engagements.
?Assists with accounts US but potentially Globally.
Qualifications for this role are:
?Project management skills.
?Strong technical aptitude.
?Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
?Flexible and ability to remain composed in hectic environments
?Ability to work independently.
