Based at our offices in Glenview, Il north of Chicago, the specific responsibilities for the Program Analyst/Business Systems Analyst role are:
You will partner with business leaders to research, understand, and define how specific product features and improvements should be delivered in a software development environment
Document findings into specifications that will be used as the foundation of the development and testing phases.
Work closely with Developers and QA to ensure they have correctly interpreted the specifications
Work closely with the Product Managers to monitor and manage the progress of specific project teams
Be able to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize the efforts on each according to the roadmap and other dependencies
Conduct business and data analysis, creating use cases and user scenarios and performing basic functions in SQL.
Perform third tier application support, interacting with internal users to identify root causes for issues and create problem statements
Manage quality assurance by defining test cases and executing manual and automated tests pieces of work.
Train internal users on new systems, features and system enhancements
3 years of experience in a business analyst role within new product development for a technology company supporting SaaS-based web applications and mobile environments.
Some understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
Experience in product development, product lifecycle management, functional and process analysis.
Experience understanding emergent technology trends related to financial software packages
Ability to identify critical issues within product specifications, design, and development and establish resolutions quickly and efficiently.
Experience with MS Visio, MS Project, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
