Summary: Questar Assessment, Inc. has a Program Manager position available at our corporate office in Apple Valley, MN. Questar is a dynamic organization providing K-12 educational assessment solutions that deliver accurate information necessary to help students achieve their potential. We offer a suite of products that assess reading comprehension, writing skills, English language proficiency, and content area knowledge.
The Program Manager position is responsible for successfully delivering client and company projects on-time and on budget according to the defined scope, timeline, and cost. The activities include driving cross-functional teams to establish an integrated schedule and drive resolution of cross-functional issues. The Program Manager collaborates with Operations, IT, Assessment Development, Hand Scoring, Research and Development, Publishing, Marketing, Sales and external partners as required. The position reports to a Senior Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high customer service to client
Ensure deadlines are being met by project team and client
Manage project timelines according to scope
Communicate continually with internal team members and external client contacts
Organize client notes, revisions, approvals and agendas
Ensure client deliverables/assets are being submitted and organized
Forecast project risks and communicate those to key company resources
Lead project management teams, including project managers and project coordinators
Coordinate schedules and anticipate technical roadblocks and challenges
Maintain and communicate status on program status and issues
Flag and monitor critical path activities related to given program/project.
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
Minimum 2-4 years? experience in a project coordination and/or project management role
Strong knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project a plus
