This is a customer facing operational management position, working as a member of the Program Management Team within Field Operations. It has three areas of focus:
First, this position will be responsible for the oversight and management of our dispatch scheduling operation. This will require skills related to operational management, vendor management, process analysis and improvement, and KPI management.
The second area of focus this position will be responsible for working with our business class customers in a consultative manner in order to determine the scope of work for MegaPath deployments. This will entail requirements definition relative to their scheduling and on site needs, process analysis and documenting, training of internal stakeholders (and in some cases customers), and operational project management of the field installation activity.
Finally, this role may require involvement in evolutionary changes to our operating model, which include product launches, software changes, and customer specific requirements. The Program Manager would assist with requirements development, process documentation and training documentation necessary to successfully evolve the Field Operations organization as these changes are implemented.
It is critical for this leader to have strong leadership qualities that allow them to work cross functionally within MegaPath, while also building credibility with our MegaPath customers.
Manage day to day operations of Dispatch Scheduling Team.
Attend customer calls representing Field Operations in order to develop and document customer specific installation process guides
Manage customer projects from proof of concept into production, ensuring all Field Operations; responsibility is defined, documented and executed.
Prepare all field teams, including 3rd party vendors, with proper training and materials to execute customer specific deployments
Conduct Quality Audits ensuring installation guides are followed as documented.
Participate in corporate project calls as the Field Operations representative in order to assist in the development and launch of new processes, systems and products.
Develop and document policy and process documentation as necessary in support of new product releases, software changes, and customer deployment activity.
Conduct appropriate change management for all process and policy documentation for Field Operations.
Manage collocation security access and badging activity for Field Operations Technicians
This position requires the following skills and experience:
5-8 years of experience working in the telecommunication industry.
1 to 3 years of management level experience, with proven ability to successfully drive operational excellence.
High level understanding Ethernet, TCP/IP and premise wiring.
Proven ability to work within a cross functional team, with skills related to motivation, performance management, and relationship management.
Proven ability to author technical documentation.
Experience managing successful vendor relationships
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long rage goals
Ability to organize and establish priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and relate well with others from a variety of backgrounds and levels
Strong presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
